Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced part-time Physics & Engineering Teacher to join our faculty for the 2025–2026 school year. The ideal candidate will teach one period per day, four days a week (Monday through Thursday), and will inspire students through hands-on learning, critical thinking, and real-world applications of science and engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that incorporates project-based learning and real-world problem solving
- Design creative lesson plans and assessments that promote scientific inquiry and engineering design
- Foster a classroom environment that supports curiosity, collaboration, and academic growth
- Maintain communication with students and parents to support learning and progress
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance interdisciplinary learning and innovation
Qualifications
- Degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field (required)
- Teaching certification or master’s degree in education or STEM field (preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of high school teaching experience
- Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills
- A passion for mentoring and empowering students in a values-driven academic community
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-Time: One class period per day, Monday through Thursday
- Compensation: $8,500 – $10,000 (based on experience)
