Summary

Generations Montessori School of Charlottesville is entering our10th yearof serving families in the community, and we're excited to expand our team!
We are seeking awarm, dependable Lead Toddler Guidewith a passion for working with young children. The ideal candidate is nurturing, reliable, and enjoys creating a calm, supportive environment for toddlers to grow and thrive.

• Experience working with young children (required)
• Montessori training or experience (preferred, but not required – we will train the right person)
• Strong communication skills
• A collaborative, team-oriented mindset

Duties

Set up classroom and change units throughout the year
Ensuring the physical and emotional well being of the children .
Promote a positive team environment by leading with integrity, offering constructive feedback, and guiding colleagues to meet shared educational goals
Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times
Complete at least 16 hours of professional development each year
Be familiar with the regulations set out by the Virginia Department of Social Services
Exhibit a genuine, nurturing, caring attitude to all students

Requirements

Must be able to pass a background check
A passionate educator with experience working with preschool children
Someone who values a calm, respectful, and nurturing environment for our young learners

Nice To Haves

Montessori credentials
CPR/First Aid certification
MAT certification
