Job Title: Infant Room Assistant Teacher (Full-Time)
Location: New Horizons Montessori Academy Exton, PA
Schedule: MondayFriday | 8-Hour Shifts | In-Person
Pay: $18$20 per hour


About Us


At New Horizons Montessori Academy (NHMA), we are committed to fostering independence, confidence, and a love of learning through the Montessori philosophy. We are currently hiring a full-time Assistant Teacher to join our Infant Room team, serving children ages 6 weeks to 12 months.

Position Overview


In our Infant Room, two Assistant Teachers work as equal partners in a collaborative care model designed specifically for infants. Both team members share responsibility and receive ongoing support from school leadership. This approach ensures a calm, consistent, and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate is warm, dependable, and experienced in infant care.

Key Responsibilities


  • Provide attentive, loving care, including feeding, diapering, and soothing

  • Support infants sensory exploration and developmental milestones

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom

  • Follow daily care routines and ensure consistency throughout the day

  • Communicate respectfully and effectively with co-teachers and families at pickup

  • Uphold NHMAs health, safety, and Montessori-based care standards

Requirements


  • Must have at least one year of experience working with infants

  • Experience in early childhood education is preferred

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)

  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (required)

  • Eligible to work in the United States

  • Able to pass all required PA background checks: FBI fingerprinting, child abuse, and criminal history

  • A recent physical exam and a negative TB test are required

Compensation & Benefits


  • $18$20/hour, depending on experience

  • Paid daily break (3045 minutes)

  • Up to 4 days PTO annually

  • Health insurance (eligible after 90 days, full-time only)

  • 401(k) with 100% match up to 4% (eligible after 90 days)

  • Baby Bonding Leave: 2 months unpaid + 2 paid bonus weeks distributed over 4 months after return (eligible after 6 months)

  • 50% tuition discount for children or grandchildren enrolled at NHMA
