SUMMARY:

  • The hourly Special Education Paraprofessional pay rate to work on assignment with Camp Hill School District is $18.00/hour
  • Special Education Paraprofessionals may support students in one of the following areas: Autistic, Emotional, Instructional, Learning, and Life Skills Support

OPENINGS:

  • Middle / High School Emotional Support Paraprofessional (1 position): 100 S. 24th St, Camp Hill, PA
    • Schedule: 7:30am - 3pm on all student and PL days (30 minute unpaid lunch break)
    • Work duties include the combination of supporting students in the emotional support classroom, which is often delivering instruction to multiple grade levels and/or subjects at the same time, or pushing into regular education classrooms to support ES students.
  • Elementary Autistic Support Paraprofessional (2 positions): Eisenhower Elementary School, 340 N. 21st St, Camp Hill, PA
    • Schedule: 7:40am - 3:10pm on all student and PL days (30 minute unpaid lunch break)
    • Work will be in a classroom with higher need students and will provide behavioral support in the classroom and instruction in language acquisition. The District will support training with AAC devices.
    • Some push-in support to specials
    • Assist students with toileting. Materials, including gloves and wipes, will be provided.

Requirements

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma required. For Title I positions - Must pass for "highly qualified" as mandated by NCLB
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree - preferred
  • Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred

CREDENTIALING :

(CCRES paid clearances and TB screening)

  • PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • PA Department of Education FBI
  • TB Screening
  • Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
  • Safe Crisis Management Training (district will provide on a work day)
