This opening is for a full-time Special Education Teacher position serving first-grade students in an elementary school setting. The role involves supporting a caseload of five students with emotional disabilities (ED), working closely with paraprofessionals within the classroom. The position follows a school year contract and requires a mitment of 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of first-grade students with emotional disabilities.
- Collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals to deliver specialized instruction and support.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to optimize educational outes.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation in pliance with applicable regulations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and engagement.
Qualifications:
- Active Indiana Special Education Teacher License.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in special education.
- Strong interpersonal and munication skills to engage students, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to acmodate diverse learning needs.
