Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher
Description:
As a team leader, the Teacher is responsible for curriculum implementation, the overall supervision and management of a safe, developmentally appropriate infant/toddler classroom, parent involvement, and ensuring compliance with city and state regulatory agencies. Candidates must be extremely motivated, passionate, and capable of multi-tasking. Must have a positive attitude and able to interact with families, parents and children.
Responsibilities:
- Meeting the individual needs of the children
- Participation in staff and training meetings
- Arrange rooms and furniture to support the development of the children in the classroom
- Understanding of child development and age appropriate activities
- Knowledge of teaching strategies Gold Assessment
- Knowledge of Creative Curriculum
- Implementation of activities that develop self-esteem and social skills
- Develop developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with common core standards
- Develop developmentally appropriate lesson
- Computer literate- ability to input and submit observations into Teaching Strategies GOLD
- Parent and Teacher Conferences three times per year
Qualifications:
- AA/BA in Early Childhood Education or CDA working towards a degree in Early childhood
- Working experience with children 3+ years
- Fingerprints by DOI and DOE(PETS)
- State Clearance
- Current Physical Exam
