An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in an inclusive classroom setting. This full-time, permanent placement position is located in Coalinga, CA, serving students from kindergarten through fifth grade. Two positions are open, one for grades K-5 and another for grades 2-5, providing specialized instruction tailored to meet the unique learning needs of students with disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure effective instructional strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with educational regulations
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters student growth and confidence
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential
- Experience teaching grades K-5 in a special education setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to differentiate instruction and use various teaching methods
