A K-12 educational setting in Littleton, CO, is seeking a dedicated professional skilled in teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. This contract opportunity spans the 2025-2026 school year and requires flexibility and expertise to support a diverse caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to a caseload of 16 students, ranging from early childhood through age 21.
- Deliver itinerant services by traveling between multiple school sites within the district.
- Collaborate with general education staff, families, and related service providers to ensure individualized educational programs (IEPs) are effectively implemented.
- Utilize appropriate munication methods and assistive technologies tailored to meet the needs of students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in pliance with state and district guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) licensure in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.
- Experience working with students across early childhood to young adult age ranges.
- Strong munication and collaboration skills to engage with students, families, and staff.
- Ability to manage multiple locations and adjust to varying school environments.
- Familiarity with IEP development and special education pliance.
