Pay Range- $20.00 - $23.00
Full-time with generous benefits package
The Whole Family Coach provides direct support, outreach, information, and education to individuals/families who are low-income residents of DCP's service area. This includes assessments, plan development, advocacy, service coordination, and follow up. Collaborates with other programs within DCP as well as other community partners and resources. Also provides peer support for Whole Family Coach team.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR POSITION:
Experience and Skill Requirements: The following requirements and skills are considered essential:
- Two or more years experience assisting families and individuals living in poverty
- An understanding of and positive regard for individuals and families living in poverty.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and reflective skills
- Excellent active listening skills
- Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and capable of managing many tasks concurrently
- Displays tact, discretion, and sound judgment in complex situations
- Prioritizes and coordinates work activities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Adapts to change
- Uses Microsoft Office applications and other computer software as applicable to the position
- Education/Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, or related field preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Must pass required background checks
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and provide proof of insurance
- Willingness to travel throughout Hancock and/or Washington counties
