This position seeks an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to support young learners during the 2025-2026 school year. The role is based in Asheville, NC, within an early childhood educational setting. Responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Collaborating with families, therapists, and other educators to create supportive learning environments.
- Utilizing specialized teaching strategies and adaptive materials to promote academic and social progress.
- Monitoring and documenting student progress, adapting strategies as necessary.
- Maintaining compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certification in Special Education with a focus on early childhood preferred.
- Experience working with children aged 3-8 with developmental delays or disabilities.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, best practices, and early childhood development.
