Talented Swimmer And Motivational Coach Needed!

Austin Country Club in Austin, TX is looking for an energetic and growth-oriented person to teach young swimmers as a full- or part-time Head Swim Coach! WHAT WILL YOU DO?

As a full- or part-time Head Swim Coach, you'll help swimmers of all skill levels improve their technical abilities and become more comfortable in the water. Under the direction of our aquatic director, you'll support the swimmers' personal and athletic growth. Here's a closer look:

  • Lead practices, summer clinics, private lessons, swimming camps, and other events
  • Provide high-quality coaching while upholding safety standards
  • Communicate with parents, assistant coaches, and team presidents
  • Answer questions about swimming lessons or camps
  • Manage swim meet schedules, coordinate meet entries and logistics, and schedule assistant coaches
  • Monitor pool activities and maintain proper chemical levels

DO YOU MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS?

EXPERIENCE & ABILITIES:

  • 3+ years of experience running a member-owned swim club
  • 2+ years of experience coaching youth or competitive swimmers
  • Proven experience teaching technical swimming skills
  • Competitive swimming experience, preferably at the collegiate level
  • Ability to use SwimTopia software and run a time system
  • Ability to create individualized training plans based on skill level

  • Passion for sports and helping others improve

PREFERRED CRITERIA:

  • Experience managing a team and organizing swim meets
  • Experience leading swim camps or youth development programs
  • Sports psychology knowledge

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

Pay: Our Head Swim Coach earns a competitive wage based on experience and availability.

Schedule: You can join us full- or part-time starting in August 2025.
