Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years special education experience required.
This position is for a Special Education Teacher at an elementary school located in Maple Lake, MN. This contract role starts with workshop week on August 26, 2025, and will continue until the position is filled. The assignment involves working 40 hours per week, providing resource support to a caseload of approximately 9-11 students in grades K-6, including 2 setting III students.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and curriculum to students with disabilities, including ASD, OHI, and EBD
- Manage case files and provide comprehensive case management services
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff in a resource classroom setting
- Develop and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students on caseload
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education licensure is required
- ABS certification preferred
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education resource setting
- Ability to manage a caseload and develop curriculum to support individualized instruction
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
