Onsite Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH) Specialist
Location: Bristol, CT
Position Type:(ASAP 06/09/2025)
Hours: 25 Hours/Week
Caseload: 8 Students

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and qualified Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to work onsite in Bristol, CT. This is a contract position for the remainder of the 20252026 school year with a manageable caseload and strong support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • Conduct assessments and monitor student progress

  • Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student

  • Maintain accurate records in pliance with state and district guidelines

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Deaf Education or related field

  • Valid Connecticut Teaching Certification with endorsement in Deaf or Hard of Hearing (or eligibility to obtain)

  • Previous experience working with DHH students preferred

  • Strong munication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work onsite in Bristol, CT
