Great Basin Industrial is seeking a dedicated Safety Auditor Inspector Trainer to enhance our safety culture and ensure compliance across all operations. This position will focus on the promotion of safety practices and procedures within the workplace, providing training and inspection support to various teams across our projects.
Your role will involve conducting safety audits, monitoring compliance with safety regulations, and implementing training programs to educate employees on safe work practices. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in safety management within the industrial or construction environment and have a passion for promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
Location: Kaysville, Ut and Plymouth, Ut fixed locations and in the field across various project sites.
Salary: Competitive based on experience.
Reports to: VP of Industrial Health & Safety
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular audits of safety practices on job sites and report findings to management.
- Evaluate compliance with OSHA / MSHA regulations and company safety standards.
- Provide training sessions for employees on safety procedures, hazard recognition, and emergency response.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop and improve site-specific safety plans.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of safety audits, inspections, and training programs.
- Act as a safety resource for project teams and assist in the development of best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management, auditing, and training in the industrial or construction sectors.
- Strong understanding of OSHA / MSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP/ASP) or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions regarding safety practices.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
- Reliably commute to Kaysville, UT and Plymouth, UT
- Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed, up to 50% of the time.
