Full-Time School Psychologist Austin, TX Area

Blazer Jobs is currently conducting interviews for a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our partner school districts in the Austin, TX area. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity offering strong professional support and growth potential.

Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be considered:

  • Hold a Masters or higher degree in School Psychology or a closely related field

  • Possess a valid and active Texas licensure issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP) or Texas Education Agency (TEA) as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)

  • Have verifiable experience working as a School Psychologist in a school-based or educational setting

  • Pass required background checks and fingerprinting through the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)

  • Meet all Texas Education Agency (TEA) employment standards, including clearance through the Educator Certification Online System (ECOS)

Key Responsibilities
As a School Psychologist, your primary responsibilities may include:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to determine eligibility for special education services

  • Support the development and implementation of IEPs

  • Provide direct and indirect services to students, including counseling and consultation

  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to support students academic and emotional success

  • Help design interventions and monitor student progress

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to student mental health and special education
