Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a caring and dependable Preschool Teachers Assistant to support our Lead Teachers primarily during snack time, lunch time, and break time. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teacher with classroom management during snack, lunch, and teacher breaks.
- Provide excellent service to all students, families, co-workers, and school administration.
- Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and engaging environment for children.
- Support children in developing good hygiene habits and table manners.
- Provide supervision and ensure the safety of all children in your care.
- Communicate positively and effectively with the Lead Teacher and Director.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures both organizationally and departmentally to ensure the safety of children, parents, and staff.
- Model positive behavior and educate children in a manner which contributes to mature and responsible behavior.
- Complete all Discover After School and governmentally required training in the required time frame.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid FL Child Development Associate Credential (CDA).
- Completion of 45 hours of DCF Child Care Training (Transcripts will be reviewed).
- Satisfactory Criminal Background Screening & Drug Screening.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma.
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (Must be completed within 30 days of employment)
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute locally.
Skills:
- Eagerness to learn.
- Strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills in English is required.
- Bilingual, with proficiency in both English and Spanish is a plus.
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, patient, responsible, and dedicated to enhancing program performance and impact.
- Strong communication skills for interactions with children and administration.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities for daily challenges.

- Oversee and participate in the cleaning and maintaining of facilities, equipment, and all areas used.

- Report to all scheduled shifts on time.
Experience:
- Experience with Children: 1 year (Preferred)
Job Type: Part-time
Compensation: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour. Bi-Weekly Pay.

Schedule:
- Starting August 2025 (Apply today!)
- Monday - Friday
- Preschool Hours of Operation: 6:30AM - 6PM
- 35-40 hours guaranteed per week
