JOB TITLE: Curriculum Librarian
REPORTS TO: School Director
CLASSIFICATION: Classified/Non-Exempt

THE OPPORTUNITY (POSITION OVERVIEW)
Reporting to the School Directors, the Curriculum Librarian is responsible for organizing, tracking, listing, delivering and receiving curriculum. The librarian will meticulously maintain the library and make it accessible for both staff and families to access.
WHAT YOU WILL DO (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)

Work collaboratively with other librarian(s) within Exploration.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date LiBib account for the designated region.

Input new materials into the Curriculum Library system accurately and efficiently.

Edit materials in LiBib as needed for clarity.

Properly label Curriculum Library materials and shelf accordingly.

Pull materials from requests received through LiBib. Correspond with families when their orders are ready and any items that are no longer available.

Follow up with families when orders are not picked up during the designated time frame.

Maintain a clean and inviting Curriculum Library space.

Plan, organize and oversee Open Shop days for Exploration families twice per year.

Hold Curriculum Library hours for families to shop. Be available to answer questions and offer suggestions.

Attend monthly Investment Team head meetings.

Oversee Curriculum Library team by holding meetings, creating schedules, and providing tasks and guidance.

Organize a schedule for EFs to drop off materials to the Curriculum Library.

Make necessary announcements to staff with important information/announcements/changes.

Respond to correspondence within 24 hours during the school week.

Assist with staff training as needed.

Work closely with educational facilitators.

Perform additional tasks as assigned by administrator(s) in accordance with the school/policies & practices.

Attend meetings and trainings as required.

Complete other duties as defined by the Director of the program or other school leaders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communicating with others to exchange information. (In Person/Telephone/Computer)

Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.

Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.

When needed to support a school or education program, must have the ability to travel by public transit as well as operate a vehicle for self-transportation purposes between worksites.

Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.

May encounter outdoor elements: high (>90)/low (<60) temperatures, precipitation and/or wind.

Ability to work in situations involving the need to make informed and quick decisions.

Ability to supervise/manage workers and delegate as needed in project management situations.

Reading detailed documentation and analyzing data sets.
-
Writing professionally, both by hand and utilizing computer software.
-
Speaking in public settings including making public presentations to large and small groups.
-
Dealing and navigating professionally through high-stress situations.

Must be available for in-person work. Frequency to be determined in collaboration with the designated supervisor.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING (QUALIFICATIONS)

High school degree or equivalent.

Job-related office experience and/or training preferred.

Demonstrate proficiency in technology skills with the ability to learn and use online platforms, systems and software for record keeping and data-intake purposes.

General knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment, bookkeeping, and/or secretarial techniques.
-
Ability to prioritize, perform tasks with accuracy, be detail-oriented and meet deadlines.
-
Demonstrate standards of moral character and maintain a professional demeanor to serve as an effective role model for learners.

Exercise mature judgment in working with confidential information.
