We do this by supporting children, families, and childcare providers in Essex County through advocacy and action, providing education and referrals, sharing best practices, and helping families access available financial resources.

Requirements:

The Programs Department provides financial assistance to eligible parents, guardians, and foster parents to assist with the costs of childcare. As a Senior Eligibility Program Trainer, you will review and monitor all units within the Subsidy Programs Department, in accordance with the standard procedures outlined in the Subsidy Operations Manual. Specific duties may include:


· delivering group and individual instruction and training covering all subsidy programs and systems.

· collaborating with leadership to develop group/individual plans based on training needs.

· translating state instructions into training curricula, plans, instructional materials, templates, and manuals.

· conducting performance evaluations for new hires during 30-60-90-day probation periods.

· staying abreast of new trends and training tools and policy changes.

· assisting with quality assurance and State audits as needed.

· conducting Subsidy Parent Orientations as needed.

· providing support to Quality Assurance as needed.

· maintaining, securing, and safeguarding confidential information.

· providing other related duties as requested, assigned, or directed to meet the needs of the department


Knowledge and Skills

· Demonstrated mastery of the entire Department workflow, requirements, and procedures.

· Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques.

· Ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.

· Ability to perform intermediate-level math.

· Sound decision-making and organizational skills.

· Strong verbal/written communication skills.

· Strong interpersonal skills.

· Ability to problem solve and offer creative solutions for training methods.

· Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to multi-task.

· Willingness to work additional hours as needed.

· Ability to meet productivity standards within established timelines.

· Extensive knowledge of MS Office, internal and external databases.


Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at a time


Education and Experience

· BS degree in Education or related field required (training experience may be substituted)

· In-depth knowledge of program eligibility guidelines and procedures

· Previous leadership experience preferred
