A supportive educational environment is crucial for student success, and this role is dedicated to enhancing that experience through specialized psychological services. Located in Joliet, IL, this position focuses on meeting the needs of elementary students, specifically those in the 3rd to 5th grade.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct case study evaluations and formal testing (WISC, WIAT, KTEA, etc.) to assess student needs.
- Provide counseling support as needed, fostering students' emotional and psychological well-being.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other staff to create tailored intervention plans.
- Serve as a strong team player, actively participating in multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and documentation of services provided.
Qualifications:
- Active School Psychologist License in Illinois with PEL certification.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to various educational environments.
- Knowledge of psychological assessments and interventions in schools is an asset.
