A K-12 special education teaching opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year at a middle school in Andover, MN. This contract position offers a full academic year schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The role supports students in a federal setting with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) as well as providing building-level Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) support tailored to individual IEP needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to a caseload of 8-10 elementary or fewer students with disabilities
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) focusing on emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support students academic, social, and behavioral progress
- Provide ASD interventions and resources within the school setting to foster success for students on the spectrum
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust instruction based on data
Qualifications:
- Valid tier 1 to 4 special education teaching licensure
- Experience or training in working with students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Strong knowledge of federal and state special education regulations and best practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
