Whole Family Coach
Starting hourly rate is $28.00 or commensurate with experience
The Whole Family Coach supports families utilizing a Whole Family Model through community resources and coaching to resolve immediate or urgent crises, and other goals that promote long-term financial and household stability. This position supports families who are seeking to achieve long-term stability through the use of a “Pathway Plan,” and establishes and maintains linkages between YCCAC’s many programs and services as well as those in the community.
Your Role:
- Provide client-centered coaching to families participating and receiving Housing Navigation Services to work towards goals regarding employment, housing stability, public benefits, legal issues, energy, education, financial stability, and other pertinent resources.
- Support participants with goal setting, assessment, and implementation of a “Pathway Plan” to achieve long-term stability.
- Provide emergency assistance for basic needs such as utilities, shelter, and food when funds are available.
- Serve as an advocate when appropriate; assist participants in developing the skills and expertise to advocate on their own behalf. Help participants develop skills leading to long-term success.
- Develop, coordinate, and monitor a network of services and resources tailored to needs and interests of participant. Provide cross-coordination of resources across YCCAC and in the community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or LSW preferred; experience may be substituted.
- Experience in a social services program preferred.
- Knowledge of the human service network and systems in York County, employment and education services, healthcare, legal aid, and financial assistance programs.
- Experience and or demonstrated ability to function well in a helping relationship with other persons, and to maintain appropriate boundaries.
- General computer skills, including knowledge of major word processing programs, ability to use the internet, email and database software.
- Strong verbal and written communication for interacting with clients and service providers.
- Ability to assess complex situations and develop creative, client-centered solutions.
- Not have an active record on the System for Award Management (SAM) website.
