A dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Special Education Teacher is sought for a contract position during the 20252026 school year at an early childhood school in Chester, IL. This role focuses on delivering high-quality instruction and support to young learners with diverse needs within a nurturing and inclusive environment. The ideal candidate is experienced in early childhood development, skilled in differentiated instruction, and passionate about fostering student growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum aligned with district goals and early learning standards.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that supports individualized and small-group instruction.
- Design lesson plans that transform instructional time into meaningful learning experiences.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of all students, especially those with special needs.
- Provide targeted instruction in munication, social-emotional development, early literacy, numeracy, and self-help skills.
- Promote positive behaviors and responsible citizenship in pliance with district policies and applicable laws.
- Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, implementation, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with families, therapists, and educators to support student learning and growth.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices and trends in early childhood and special education.
Qualifications:
- Valid state teaching certification in Early Childhood Special Education or willingness to obtain an early childhood endorsement if currently certified in special education.
