Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Alumni Coordinator. This role is central to maintaining lasting engagement with former clients and ensuring continued support during the transition from treatment to independent recovery. The Alumni Coordinator will be responsible for managing intake follow-up accuracy, building alumni relationships, coordinating support services, and maintaining compliance with aftercare standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Intake Oversight
- Review intake forms completed by Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to verify accuracy and completeness of patient and emergency contact information.
- Ensure appropriate releases are signed and stored.
- Promptly update and correct contact records; notify the Director of Operations if recurring issues are identified.
Alumni Program Management
- Develop and execute strategies to increase alumni engagement and program participation.
- Organize and facilitate one weekly alumni group in collaboration with a Master's level licensed therapist.
- Coordinate and attend one H&I (Hospitals & Institutions) commitment weekly outside of clinical hours.
- Provide ongoing encouragement, resources, and emotional support to alumni.
Relationship Building
- Establish rapport with clients during treatment to ease transition into the alumni program.
- Maintain consistent communication post-discharge through phone calls, texts, emails, and in-person check-ins.
- Act as a liaison between alumni and the treatment center to address concerns and maintain connection.
Reputation & Feedback Management
- Encourage alumni and families to leave positive feedback on the center’s Google Business profile.
- Obtain a minimum of five reviews per week to promote the effectiveness and impact of our services.
Aftercare Support & Compliance
- Use the alumni dashboard in Salesforce to track engagement, aftercare follow-up, and program compliance.
- Maintain contact with alumni for at least one year post-discharge in accordance with Joint Commission aftercare requirements.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to connect alumni to appropriate resources and support.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect empathetically with individuals in recovery.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adapt to evolving priorities.
- Experience in behavioral healthcare or alumni relations strongly preferred.
- Education & Licensure
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Behavioral Health, or related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications or experience in peer support, alumni engagement, or case management are advantageous.
