Position Summary:
Orlando S.T.E.A.M Academy is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven School Director to oversee and manage the daily operations of our small, private school. This is a multi-functional leadership role combining the responsibilities of principal, administrator, and enrollment manager. The School Director will be responsible for academic oversight, staff coordination, family engagement, and overall operational management.
This position requires a leader who is hands-on, flexible, organized, and passionate about faith-based education.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Oversight

Serve as the acting Principal for the school, overseeing curriculum delivery and classroom performance.

Support teachers with instructional planning, classroom management, and student discipline.

Monitor academic progress and implement strategies to improve student outcomes.
School Operations

Manage day-to-day school functions, including scheduling, staffing, and facilities coordination.

Maintain student records, attendance, and compliance with applicable licensing or educational standards.

Handle internal communications and maintain an organized administrative workflow.
Enrollment & Family Engagement

Serve as the primary contact for new and prospective families.

Coordinate school tours, manage applications, and handle all enrollment-related tasks.

Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to support student success and build relationships.
Staff Coordination

Supervise and support teaching and support staff.

Organize staff meetings, manage schedules, and assist with hiring as needed.

Ensure alignment with the school’s mission, educational philosophy, and church values.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required; background in education, early childhood, or administration preferred.

Minimum 3 years experience in a school setting; leadership or administrative experience a plus.

Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
