Special Education Teacher (Full-Time) $3540/hr

Job Summary
As a Special Education Teacher, you will work with students who have a range of learning, emotional, and developmental disabilities. You will develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), adapt curriculum, and create a supportive learning environment that fosters student growth. This position requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and a deep understanding of diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs.
- Provide small-group and one-on-one instruction in alignment with IEP goals.
- Modify curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
- Use assistive technology, visual supports, and evidence-based interventions to enhance student learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to ensure student success.
- Utilize positive behavior support strategies to manage classroom behavior effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff training.
Qualifications
- Valid Special Education Teaching License in Pennsylvania required.
- Must have Early Childhood endorsement/certification.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field.
- Experience working with students with disabilities, behavioral challenges, or learning differences preferred.
- Knowledge of IEP development, accommodations, and behavior intervention strategies.
- Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

- Pay Rate: $3540 per hour (based on experience)
- Job Type: Full-time, contract position
- Schedule: MondayFriday, school hours
