Job DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTION Bachelor’s degree required; concentration or advanced degree in education preferred. Two or more years of experience teaching similar subject, preferably including knowledge of and experience with the revised General Education teacher Commitment to mentoring and educating opportunity youth, and belief that all students can achieve success Demonstrated ability to provide engaging and developmentally appropriate instruction while maintaining strong classroom culture Commitment to regularly assessing student progress and using data to strengthen student performance Demonstrated ability to engage diverse young adult learners, including those with disabilities and English Language Learners Familiarity with youth development principles and alternative high schools Strong cultural competency skills, including excellent ability to communicate with diverse students and staff Must be flexible, energetic, and resourceful
