ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role you will co-create, lead, and operate VHGs Education Department. As this is a start-up, the Academic Director will function both in an administrative capacity and as a front-line instructor. VHG will deploy a blended-instruction model with on-site certified teachers and an accredited online school. Functioning in a highly individualized environment, this role requires a leader who is comfortable in a non-traditional academic setting. You will oversee academic programs, manage faculty, co-develop curriculum, and ensure academic quality.



KEY AREAS OF MEASURABLE AND REPORTABLE FOCUS INCLUDE:

  • Performance Optimization Ensure all VHG patients are fully engaged in their academics by cultivating an individualized environment that honors and respects learning diversity.
  • Performance Psychology Apply relevant psychological principles to improve performance for patients, and their families.
  • Collaboration and Communication Work collaboratively with clinicians, instructors, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation Collect, analyze, measure, and interpret data to identify performance trends, create step-change moments in areas for improvement.
  • Performance Monitoring and Evaluation Track performance, evaluate program effectiveness, and make adjustments as determined by the data and team.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Measurable proof of our Four Core Attributes: Curiosity, Authenticity, Resilience, Drive.
  • Missouri DESE Secondary Certification - subject areas negotiable
  • Missouri DESE Administrator Certification preferred
  • SPED Certification preferred
  • 7+ years experience in high performing academic environments.
  • Intense desire to co-create and lead a non-traditional academic environment and team.
