An opportunity exists for a dedicated professional to support students with diverse learning needs in an elementary school setting. This role focuses on creating an inclusive and enriching environment for a K-2nd grade caseload of 15-20 special education students for the uping semester.
Qualifications:
- Valid Vermont AOE License in Special Education
- Proven experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in K-2
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Knowledge of various teaching strategies and interventions
Location:
- Barre, VT
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students with special education needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure the successful integration of students in the classroom
- Develop, implement, and regularly update IEPs in coordination with families and educational staff
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
