Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a full-time Special Education Teacher serving students from Kindergarten through 11th grade in a K-12 school setting. The position is located in Fort Riley, KS, and offers a contract for the 2025-2026 school year. The role requires specialization in adapted special education with a focus on addressing individualized education plans (IEPs) for a diverse group of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students unique needs as outlined in their IEPs
- Manage a caseload of approximately 9 students, with potential for growth due to open enrollment
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Maintain pliance with state regulations and certification requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid Kansas Adapted Special Education Certification (PreK-12 or K-12)
- Experience working with students across multiple grade levels (K-11th preferred)
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Effective munication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced school environment
Position Details:

- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM
- Contract Duration: August 13, 2025, through May 26, 2026
- Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
- Caseload: Approximately 9 students, K-11th grade
- One campus assignment (Pre-K through 12th grade building)
