Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years deaf & hard of hearing experience required.

Applicants must hold appropriate license and credential through the state board to be considered for the position. Those who do not meet these requirements will not be considered.

State and Federal Requirements:

• Louisiana teaching certificate with endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Deaf Education or Special Education

• Fingerprint and background clearance

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Job Description/Duties:

• Provide direct and consultative instructional support for DHH students

• Use various communication methods including ASL, total communication, or oral approaches

• Collaborate with general education teachers and IEP teams

• Monitor student progress and contribute to IEP development
