This opening is for a full-time Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) education, serving K-12 students across multiple sites within a district in Rozet, WY. The role offers a contract position for the 2025-2026 school year, providing a unique opportunity to work district-wide and impact students with diverse communication needs.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Travel to and provide services at multiple district schools throughout the week, ensuring consistent support and progress monitoring.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to modify curriculum and implement appropriate accommodations.
- Assess student needs and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with best practices.
- Communicate regularly with students, families, and educational teams to promote student success and advocate for accessibility.
- Stay current on trends and strategies related to Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Certification in Special Education with an endorsement or qualification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
- Experience working with students across the full K-12 spectrum.
- Ability to manage travel requirements efficiently and maintain flexible scheduling.
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
- Knowledge of assistive technology and auditory-visual learning methods.
Location:Rozet, Wyoming approximately two hours north of Casper, WY, with district-wide travel to multiple schools.
