This opening is for an on-site Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to serve students across K-12 grades during the 2025-2026 school year in Tyler, TX. This contract position offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, focused on providing prehensive counseling services to support the social, emotional, and academic growth of students.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting individual and group counseling sessions to address students behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans and support strategies
- Delivering crisis intervention and referral services as needed
- Maintaining confidential documentation and records in pliance with state and district regulations
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to the development of a positive school climate
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Current and valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, mental health issues, and counseling techniques
- Excellent munication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively and work collaboratively with school personnel and families
