Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support tailored to the unique educational needs of visually impaired students.
- Develop, adapt, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to foster learning and independence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure prehensive student development.
- Utilize assistive technologies and low-vision aids to facilitate classroom participation.
- Conduct assessments and monitor progress to update instructional strategies accordingly.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) credential or equivalent.
- Prior experience working in K-12 educational settings with visually impaired students.
- Strong understanding of visual impairment-related educational practices and technologies.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a team.
