Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Educational Diagnostician to join a supportive school district team in Harvey, LA for the 20252026 academic year. This is an excellent opportunity to provide diagnostic expertise that drives individualized education and student success.

Position Overview

The Educational Diagnostician will be responsible for conducting comprehensive academic and cognitive assessments, participating in eligibility and IEP meetings, and collaborating with educators and families to ensure appropriate services and supports. This full-time, onsite position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with federal and state guidelines while promoting equitable access to education.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and interpret standardized assessments

• Prepare clear, accurate, and timely diagnostic reports in accordance with Louisiana Bulletin 1508 and IDEA guidelines

• Participate in multidisciplinary team and IEP meetings

• Collaborate with teachers, service providers, and families to develop appropriate educational recommendations

• Support MTSS and RTI frameworks with data-informed insights

• Maintain compliance with all documentation and evaluation timelines

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, or related field

• Valid Louisiana Educational Diagnostician Ancillary Certificate

• Completion of a state-approved educational diagnostician program

• In-depth knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and Louisiana evaluation standards

• Proficiency with academic and cognitive assessment tools

• Prior experience in a school setting conducting evaluations preferred

• Successful background check, fingerprinting, and drug screening required
