Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years visually impaired experience required.

An opportunity exists for Teachers for the Visually Impaired in the Baltimore area, specifically within an Elementary School setting. This role focuses on providing tailored educational experiences for students with visual impairments, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• MD TVI certification or currently working towards it.
• Experience or familiarity with elementary education principles.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to adapt to varying classroom needs.
• Additional certifications in Social Studies or ELA may be required, depending on placement.

Location:Baltimore, MD

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement educational plans tailored to students with visual impairments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support each student's individual needs.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
• municate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding educational goals and outes.
• Participate in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities.
