Seeking a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide specialized instruction for K-12 students during an Extended School Year (ESY) contract in the Kent, WA area. This role is ideal for an educator committed to supporting deaf and hard of hearing learners through tailored educational strategies and collaboration with educational teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Washington State Teaching License with Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) endorsement
• Experience working with elementary and secondary age groups, grades K-12
• Strong understanding of communication methods and instructional techniques for deaf and hard of hearing students
• Ability to create individualized educational plans and conduct assessments
• Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Position Details:

• Location: Kent, WA
• Start Date: July 7, 2025
• End Date: August 1, 2025
• Schedule: 5 hours per day, 4 days per week
• Contract Type: ESY (Extended School Year), contract position

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction aligned with students individualized goals
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed
• Collaborate with audiologists, speech pathologists, and other educational staff
• Support students social-emotional development within the school environment
• Maintain accurate records and comply with educational regulations
