An opportunity is available for a full-time Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in a self-contained classroom setting within a public school environment located in Lexa, Arkansas. This role is designed to serve students with diverse special education needs, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere throughout the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with special education requirements.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student progress and well-being.
- Utilize appropriate instructional strategies and assistive technologies to facilitate learning.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification for grades K-12.
- Experience working with students in a self-contained special education setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet individual learning needs.
