Requirements:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Area Manager of Vocational Services is responsible for day-to-day oversight of assigned areas for the purpose of job training and placement for individuals with disabilities. This position plays a primary role in the development of employment supports and ensures a high quality of service throughout all of the employment service programs. The Area Manager of Vocational Services ensures that quality services are being provided and that compliance with our mission statement and model are exceeding standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Manages all Adult Employment Services and Supported Employment Services.
- Manages personnel by training, evaluating, scheduling, and overseeing the completion of all work performed by staff.
- Assists in recruitment activities as needed by reviewing resumes, interviewing job candidates and interfacing with Human Resources to fill positions.
- Conducts weekly staff meetings for the purpose of planning, training, setting goals, disseminating program, policy, process and organization updates; addresses staff issues or concerns; reviews payroll and comments reports.
- Ensures program quality by monitoring client, employer, referral agency and funder satisfaction.
- Maintains a client caseload as required and supports team members with referrals, assessments, job coaching, and overall service.
- Monitors staff caseloads to ensure all clients are being served and employees are meeting their program goals.
- Monitors staff calendars, progress notes, activity reports to ensure the employU model is being followed.
- Reviews and monitors monthly productivity and placements for all Employment Specialists.
- Oversees the timely completion of all reporting forms and case documentation per funding and agency requirements; completes all other required documentation and training.
- Ensures staff meets established billing and placement productivity rates.
- Develops relationships with local employers and monitors quality of services provided to them.
- Develops and maintains positive networking relationships with all referral sources.
- Communicates with and updates Employment Services Manager regularly on the status
- of cases, program needs, concerns and the overall facilitation of services.
- Supports the work within the mission and strategic plan of the company.
- Ensures compliance with relevant laws, regulations and standards.
- Communicates in a manner that is positive, productive and supportive of teamwork, innovation and collaboration.
- Creates and maintains a company culture of inclusion focused on growth and development.
- Works collaboratively with management to ensure quality service delivery.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
- Drives clients to various locations as needed.
- Completes other required duties as directed.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
- High School diploma required: some college including a degree in any field preferred.
Experience:
- No experience necessary; experience working with individuals with a disability and/or prior counseling, job placement, job coaching or working within public vocational rehabilitation programs is preferred.
- In addition, for Supported Employment, a copy of a training certificate from a state or nationally recognized supported employment program.
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Suite, adobe and web-based database systems;
CRM experience preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to pass a level 2 background check.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, auto registration, auto insurance with minimum coverage of bodily injury $50,000 per person/$100,000 per accident.
- Bilingual is a plus (English / Spanish); ASL is a plus.
- Confidentiality and the ability to manage multiple deadlines is required.
- Must have own computer, printer, smartphone with data plan, and high-speed internet connection.
Supervision: Manages and supervises Adult Employment Services members such as
Employment Specialists and Job Coaches.
Travel: Requires intrastate travel.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Environment: Office environment and in the field at various business locations.
Physical: Standing, walking, reaching and prolonged periods sitting while driving and
working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read
computer screens and printed documents.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
