Job Summary

  • D1 Head Coach is responsible for ensuring D1 Coaches do the following:
    • Deliver the BEST workout experience in the industry to our athletes.
    • Demonstrate a passion for training athletes of all ages from 7 years old all the way to the adult athlete.
    • Adhere to the latest brand standards and quality control measures.
    • Assist in conducting assessments and goal setting to attract and/or retain clients/members - ensuring athletes are prescribed, motivated, and committed to the proper program to reach their goals.
  • The Head Coach is directly responsible for the following:

  • Foster a positive, motivating environment for all athletes.
  • Modify and adapt movements that are best suited for the individual at hand.
  • Teach and train other coaches
  • A D1 Coach must be dedicated to training and improving the lives of D1s members Scholastic (ages 7-18), Adults, and Teams, by:
    • Exhibiting passion, expertise, high energy, a positive and motivating attitude, strong character, and over-the-top customer service
    • Starting and finishing workouts on time
    • Assessing and aligning each member with the proper program
    • Building and maintaining relationships with each D1 member
    • Coaching group workouts, personal training, and teams
    • Delivering accurate, industry-leading educational advice on strength, speed, and nutrition
    • Teaching proper form and technique and keeping all our athletes safe

Responsibilities

  • Maximize client retention through best-in-class service: coaching, training, nutrition, and accountability.
  • Scheduling coaches to work.
  • Enforcing the D1 standards for attire, music, and corporate coaching standards.
  • Professionally developing coaches through required continuing education and 1:1 meetings.
  • Communicate with the D1 Home Office.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other D1 Head Coaches in the area.
  • Attend and lead marketing events.
  • Working wtih the General Manager with respect to facility and equipment maintenance and cleaning.
  • Foster a positive, motivating environment for all athletes.
  • Modify and adapt movements that are best suited for the individual at hand.
  • Reduce an athlete's risk of injury by focusing on proper technique and movement patterns.

Qualifications

  • Has a valid NASM or NSSP certification.
  • Has a valid AED/CPR/First Aid certification
  • Has at least one valid certification accredited by the NCCA.
  • Minimum of 1 year of strength & conditioning-related experience in group, team, or personal training setting.
  • Has a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related field (preferred).
