Essential Job Functions, Duties, & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize the Farmers Market at Lincoln University on Saturdays.
• Prepare marketing materials including flyers, update social media posts, and newsletters.
• Organize and obtain supplies needed for the Saturday markets. Making sure the Farmers Market welcome.
• Booth is stocked with all the supplies and proper marketing materials.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Experience managing a farmers' market or similar kind of operation.
• Knowledgeable about rules and regulations to manage a farmers' market.
• Strong leadership skills and be able to delegate tasks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or related fields.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and social skills.
• Experience working with the general public.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Writing experience.
• Knowledge of native plants and horticultural crops.
• Food safety training desired.
• Leadership training.

Physical Demands:

• Be able to set up signs, tents, tables, and banners at the Saturday farmers market regardless of the weather conditions.
• Occasional ability to lift, carry, and put away parcels, ability to lift 25 lbs.
• The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions.
