Position Summary:

The Martha O'Bryan Center is seeking a dynamic Digital Literacy Coordinator to lead our digital literacy grant initiatives. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and coordination of services designed to increase digital literacy skills. The Digital Literacy Coordinator will work collaboratively with community partners, volunteers, and program participants to ensure the successful delivery of digital literacy training and resources, empowering individuals to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT

  • Manage all aspects of the digital literacy grant, including budget oversight, data collection, and reporting requirements.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations, schools, libraries, and other stakeholders to expand program reach and impact.
  • Train and support volunteers and program staff involved in delivering digital literacy services.
  • Design and deliver digital literacy workshops and coaching sessions to meet participant needs.
  • Conduct digital literacy skills assessments to measure participant knowledge and growth.
  • Assist participants in navigating digital tools and platforms for job searching, education and accessing basic services.
  • Assist community members in setting up emails' accounts, accessing social services online, and more.
  • Teach cybersecurity and internet safety basics to participants.

RESOURCE AND TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT

  • Oversee the daily operation of the community computer lab including set-up and break down.
  • Manage and maintain computer inventory to include equipment, software, and other technology resources used in the program.
  • Identify and secure additional resources, including hardware, software, and internet access, to support program goals.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting support and assist with technology setup.
  • Create lab schedules and supervise open lab hours and volunteer support.
  • Establish and enforce lab usage policies and procedures to ensure proper use of resources.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

  • Conduct community outreach to recruit participants and promote digital literacy services.
  • Represent the Martha O'Bryan Center at community meetings, conferences, and events related to digital literacy.
  • Advocate for digital inclusion and equitable access to technology for all community members.

DATA COLLECTION AND REPORTING

  • Track and analyze participant progress using approved data collection tools.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports for funders, stakeholders, and internal use.
  • Use data to inform program improvement and ensure program effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in education, social work, technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing, implementing, or coordinating educational programs, preferably in digital literacy or adult education.
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations, particularly those from underrepresented communities.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and internet applications.
  • Dynamic communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with online learning platforms and virtual instruction.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience with grant management, including budget oversight and reporting.
