Job DescriptionSalary: up to $20

Summary of Job: Rockstar Prep 4 Kids, Inc.an early learning center in Prince Georges County, Maryland is seeking qualified individuals to work in our Infant and Toddler programs. We are currently in search of passionate and enthusiastic Teachers to join our childcare team.


Teachers will be responsible for maintaining a positive and appropriate environment for the children in their group, and for developing programs that meets the intellectual and emotional needs of children in their care.

Establishing and maintaining a classroom carefully curated to feature STEAM-inspired toys and teaching tools, to prepare children for elementary school and future challenges.

Creating a community-oriented experience for our families inspiring children to be lifelong learners.

Ensuring the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.

The successful candidate will work closely with the director, aides and other center staff to meet the individual needs of the children in their programs as well as the families and school community. Rockstar Prep 4 Kids, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.


Job Requirements:


Current First Aid and CPR certifications

Prior experience working with infants

Ability to develop engaging learning activities for children utilizing technology

Health and Safety Training

Pass MSDE approved background check

Pass drug test upon hire and random testing

Complete MSDE medical with no restrictions

Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs

Have reliable transportation to the assigned shift

Participation each year in MSDE Credentialing program AND credential at a Level 1 or higher

Actively participate in the physical set-up and breakdown of the center each shift

Lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

Move furniture/equipment carts to and from storage area

High school diploma, certificate of high school equivalency, or successful completion of college courses for credit

6 semesters, 90 clock hours or equivalent of approved early childhood coursework, and 3 semester, 45 clock hours or the equivalent of approved infant/toddler coursework

1 year of experience working with infants/toddlers and/or preschoolers in an approved setting or 1 year of college (30 semester hours), or Combination of experience and college equal to 1 year

At least 9 clock hours of approved training in communicating with staff, parents and the public

3 clock hours in ADA Compliance

Breastfeeding Certificate

Health & Safety Certificate

Job Duties:


Create and implement age-appropriate activities, lesson plans, theme days and group games

Assist and supervise all children at all times

Maintain center according to MSDE OCC regulations and company policies and procedures

Communicate effectively with all parents, supervisors, staff and office personnel

Present a positive and professional image

Engage with children at all times

Schedule:


8 hour shift

Monday to Friday



Education:


High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:


Childcare: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:


90 Hour CD Certificate, Valid CDA or Early Education Degree (Required)

45 Hour Infant & Toddler Certificate (Required)

ADA Certificate (Required)

Basic Health & Safety Certificate (Required)

9 Hour Communication Certificate (Required)

CPR & First Aide (Required)

Medication Certification (Required)

College Credit Courses (Required)

Evaluation/Orange Card from Office of Childcare (Required)

Covid-19 Training Certificate (Required)
