Summary

Joyful Hearts Learning Center, a ministry of the Lake Mills Moravian Church, is opening July 2025. We are looking for teachers to bring their unique talents and experiences into the classroom. We are hiring lead teachers for all age groups from infants to school age. As a teacher at Joyful Hearts, you will be working in a welcoming, positive, supportive work environment.

This position will start part time to help with the center set up and will transition to full time near the end of June.

Duties

• Create a warm and inviting environment for children while prioritizing child safety
• Create lesson plans that focus on play-based learning
• Develop independent goals for each child
• Collaborate with other staff members
• Develop relationships with families through ongoing communication

Requirements

• Team player
• Desire to learn and grow
• Calm, patient, and nurturing
• Play and engage with children for extended periods of time
• Age 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Completed required coursework for a lead teacher in a child care center

The ideal candidate would have 2 years of experience teaching in a child care setting.
