Contract School Psychologist - Wyoming, DE

Are you a highly skilled and compassionate School Psychologist looking for a full-time contract opportunity in a supportive school district? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team in Wyoming, Delaware, for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. This is an excellent chance to contribute to the well-being and academic success of students in a welcoming community.

Location: Wyoming, DE Discipline: School Psychologist Dates: August 21, 2025 June 12, 2026 Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours/week) | Monday - Friday Population: To Be Determined (The district has varied needs, and specific caseloads will be assigned based on expertise and student requirements.)

Job Duties Include (but are not limited to):

  • Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, evaluations, and re-evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services.
  • Interpreting assessment results and effectively communicating findings to parents, teachers, and other educational professionals.
  • Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) and Section 504 plans.
  • Providing direct and indirect counseling services, crisis intervention, and social-emotional support to students.
  • Collaborating with school staff, parents, and community resources to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings (e.g., IEP meetings, problem-solving teams).
  • Consulting with teachers and staff on classroom management, behavioral interventions, and academic support strategies.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential student records in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Special Requirements:

  • Active Delaware Licensure/Certification as a School Psychologist is required. Please provide confirmation of active licensure with your application.
  • Recent school-based experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of child development, learning theories, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Compensation:

For this contract position, the average hourly rate is $40-$60 based on experience.
