Responsibilities:

• Provide a loving, nurturing environment for children to learn and play
• Use games, and activities to teach new skills with our curriculum
• Uphold the DCFS rules and regulations, in addition to the policies and procedures of Children's Lighthouse outlined in the employee handbook
• Knowledge on food prep
• Prepping catered food to the classrooms.

Qualifications:

• Background Check/Reference Check
• Must meet local childcare regulatory requirements for assistant teacher.
• Have a food handlers certificate or willing to obtain.
• CPR/First Aid Certified or willingness to be certified
• Flexibility to work between the hours of 7am-6:30pm depending on scheduling
• Able to lift 35 pounds, sit, stand, kneel, and be active in a classroom setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Punctual and Dependable
