Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet all Nebraska state and local certification and licensure requirements for Special Education Teachers. Successful candidates will also need to pass required background checks and fingerprinting.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with special education students and their families

Strong knowledge of the IEP process and ability to create, implement, and review IEPs

Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and other school staff

Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
-
Provide specialized instruction to meet individual learning needs in various settings, including one-on-one, small group, and classroom environments

Adapt lesson plans, materials, and teaching methods to support students diverse learning styles and needs

Track and document student progress toward IEP goals and provide regular feedback to students and families
-
Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a coordinated approach to each students education

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district regulations regarding special education services

Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported and valued
