K-12 Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) in Boulder, CO
Location: Boulder, CO
Position Type: Full-Time | Onsite | Temporary (LOA Coverage)
Overview:
Boulder Valley School District is seeking a qualified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to provide full-time coverage for a leave of absence during the Fall2025 school year. This is a temporary position starting in August 2025, with the possibility of extension.
Position Details:

Start Date: August 5, 2025

End Date: November 7, 2025 (may extend into December)

Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM

Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Caseload: 710 students, ages PreK8
Required Qualifications:
-
Hold a valid Colorado teaching license or have licensure application in progress

Endorsement in Special Education Specialist: Deaf and Hard of Hearing or equivalent

Must upload proof of current license or documentation showing application in progress
Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency with multiple sign systems, including:
-
ASL (American Sign Language)
-
SEE (Signing Exact English)

Total Communication approaches
Responsibilities Include:
-
Deliver direct instruction and support to DHH students in inclusive and specialized settings

Develop and implement IEPs
-
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families

Support communication needs through appropriate language modalities
