A K-12 school in Westminster, MD is seeking a full-time Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the uping school year. This contract position offers a 35-hour workweek, serving students with visual impairments across elementary to high school levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored for students with visual impairments
• Provide specialized instruction in braille, assistive technology, and daily living skills
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Maintain documentation and ply with state and federal guidelines for special education services

Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
• Experience working with K-12 students who have vision impairments
• Knowledge of braille, accessible instructional materials, and assistive technology
• Strong munication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively

Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week
