Full-Time Activities Manager – Bay Vista Commons, Bremerton, WA

Bay Vista Commons, a warm and welcoming assisted living facility in Bremerton, WA, is seeking a Full-Time Activities Manager to lead engaging programs and bring joy to our residents.

Wage $20.00/hr. up to $23.42/hr. based on applicable years of experience

What You'll Do:
In response to our common charge of “bridging generations, enriching lives”, this job serves and cares for people in need by planning and coordinating the various activity programming that’s scheduled throughout the facility which may involve volunteers, bus outings, plants, animals, music, dancing, crafts, and/or spiritual ministries. Communicating effectively with the whole health care team and offering emotional support to all residents and their families under our care. As the Activities Manager, you will plan, coordinate, and implement programs that enhance the physical, mental, and social well-being of our residents. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Perform duties involving the planning and implementation of activities/programs, which meet the needs and interests for the physical, mental and psycho-social well-being of the residents; (i.e., Horticulture classes, group exercises, intergenerational programming, crafts, woodworking, etc.).
- Maintain documentation as required by the State and Federal regulations.
- Coordinate and plan resident outings. Coordinate and instruct participation of volunteers with residents.
- Supervise the volunteers and activity assistants.
- May be required to care for facility pets; i.e., dogs, cats, fish and birds.
- Assist in maintenance of recreation equipment and supplies.
- This is a somewhat physical position based on the required amount of walking and standing.
- May assist in resident transfers to and from activities if the resident is almost independent (i.e., standby assist only).
- May also assist residents to eat in dining rooms as allowed by regulations.
- Provide transportation with facility bus for resident doctor appointments, shopping trips and resident outings.
What We’re Looking For:
- Compliance with Washington State credentialing requirements for activity coordinators.
- Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) or Home Care Aide Certification (preferred).
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Genuine interest in caring for seniors.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity, flexibility, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with computers and activity-related tools like craft supplies and laminators.

- Paid Time Off (PTO) is accrued at varying rates depending on length of employment. Accrual rates begin at 5.32 hours per month based on a 40-hour workweek. These accruals include the required sick leave per Washington State’s Paid Sick Leave Law
