An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to work within an elementary school setting, providing specialized support to students with diverse learning needs. This contract position spans the full school year and is based in Elgin, IL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction tailored to students with disabilities, adhering to IEP goals and educational standards.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to create inclusive and supportive learning environments.
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports for meetings and evaluations.
- Implement behavior management strategies and adapt teaching materials to meet varied learning styles.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification or licensure.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and assessment tools.
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills to engage students, families, and colleagues effectively.
